Ministry of Reconciliation

Redemption is Jesus shedding his blood, which was the payment price for sin. Jesus’ crucifixion was a form of capital punishment, where victims guilty of treason were nailed to a large wooden cross and left hanging until dead. This slow, painful, bloody execution was the only acceptable form of punishment that was capable of atoning man’s sin. As an individual my part in the redemption process is to receive the atonement of blood payment-repent, be remorseful and sorrowful for my sins and transgressions. I make a choice to completely turn away and reject the world’s lifestyle of lustful pleasures and sin, and choose to turn to the moral righteous life and behavior governed by God’s word. Through God’s redemption and His great love of grace I am forever forgiven of my sins and transgressions. As a result of new beliefs in God’s word His Spirit has changed my old carnal-sinful nature and given my spirit life; as a result I am born again and have a new spiritual life in Jesus Christ.

As a born again believer I am accepted, justified and worthy to stand in the presence of a Holy and Righteous God. I now stand sanctified or set apart, as a new creature in Christ. The sanctification process is the spiritual growth and maturity of learning to walk in obedience to God’s word, and live free from disobedience and sin. As new creatures in Christ we are adopted as sons and daughters into the family of God, and are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. We now have access to a rich inheritance as Jesus Christ, both the spiritual and material benefits given to Jesus Christ by His Father.

Join us in our weekly Ministry of Reconciliation Bible Study Class to learn how to receive a new birth in Jesus Christ.

“Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who have reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and have given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit (know and understand), that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and have committed unto us the word of reconciliation; 2 Corinthians 5:17-19
